01من هو المتحكم بالبيانات

The data controller for UAYDF is Moments LLC, acting jointly with the Gulf Africa Investment Nexus for partner-facing processing. A named data protection contact is available at the address below.

Processing is carried out in compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, and to a GDPR-equivalent standard for applicants and participants resident in the European Union and United Kingdom.

Application data: name, contact details, nationality, country and city of residence, date of birth, gender where you choose to give it, professional profile, written statements, and your visa and travel support requirements.

Partner and institutional enquiry data: organisation, contact name and role, sector, category interest, indicative budget band and stated objectives.

Technical data: anonymised, aggregated analytics on pages viewed and actions taken. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to anyone.

03لماذا نعالج هذه البيانات

To assess applications against the published selection rubric, to compose Collaboration Lab teams, to arrange visa invitation letters and travel, to manage partner relationships, and to report aggregated, non-identifying cohort composition against our published diversity targets.

The lawful basis is your consent for applications and enquiries, and legitimate interest for the operational delivery of the Forum you have applied to or agreed to attend.

04الموافقة على الصورة والتصوير

Consent to photography and film is requested separately from your application and is never bundled with it. Declining has no effect whatsoever on selection.

You may withdraw media consent at any time. We will remove the material from channels we control, though we cannot recall material already published by third-party media.

Application content is seen by two independent reviewers, the selection panel and the secretariat. Reviewer scoring is confidential.

Partners receive aggregated, consent-based participant insight only. Individual application content is never shared with a partner. Where a participant asks to be introduced to a partner, that introduction is made explicitly and with their agreement.

Service providers who process data on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, form storage — do so under contract and only on our instruction.

06مدة الاحتفاظ

Unsuccessful application data is retained for twenty-four months so that applicants may be considered for the following edition, then deleted. You may ask us to delete it sooner.

Participant data is retained for the twelve-month Fellows and impact-tracking period, and thereafter in aggregated form only.

07حقوقك

You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability of what you supplied, and withdrawal of consent at any time.

08الأمن وعمليات النقل

Data is held on access-controlled systems with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the secretariat and the reviewers assigned to your application.

Where data is transferred outside the UAE, it is transferred under contractual safeguards equivalent to those required by the originating jurisdiction.
